LITTLE QUIRKS
Central Coast sisters Abbey and Mia Toole have played music with their cousin Jaymi since they were just kids. But those humble beginnings quickly evolved into a fully-fledged touring band, the trio discovering a knack for effortless folk pop songwriting that unashamedly brings catchy melodies and pounding rhythms to the fore .With a DIY mindset that would rival any act, Little Quirks are a breath of fresh, unbridled joy, determined to keep the music fun at all times. Their live shows are explosive and powerful - a smile inducing experience for the masses.
THE STRIDES
This dynamic ten-piece brings some of Sydney’s best new talent in Afrobeat, Reggae, jazz and hip-hop joining forces and collaborating together to deliver a captivating Urban Roots release.
With a calling card of powerfully melodic horns, infectious bass lines, and the easy musings of Reggae master Ras Roni, from Barbados via London, and Fijian MC LTL Gzeus (Little Jesus), The Strides faithfully channel the sounds of Bob and Damien Marley, Fela Kuti, Tony Allen, Barrington Levy and Mos Def.
THE APPOINTMENTS
The Appointments fuse reggae with indie-psychedelia. The pulsating rhythms and syncopated percussion lines set The Appointments apart from their indie rock contemporaries, while their blend of 70’s and mid-2000’s garage rock delivers a sound that is as nostalgic as it is new.
